Really nice dog friendly local pub. The girl who was serving was really nice and service was impeccable. I only got a tea and coffee but still service was spot on. The match was on the TV and the atmosphere was excellent. I hope to return soon as piano-oke is on Thursday and I would love to see that.
Not bad place. 🍺 not the best. Great entertainment 🎱

Lively town centre pub, good karaoke and friendly people. Recommended!
The manager was very rude he told me to go away because I complained about the high price for 6a double gin too pricy my local pub would have been 3.50. People are very rude to customer and prices are too high I wouldny go again
The Castle Inn, 12-14 Fitzroy St, Sandown PO36 8HY, UK – 01983 403169
Popped into here lunchtime as listed in the good beer guide. Obviously a locals pub despite being fairly near to the sea front. A few locals in and a 90th birthday party taking place. Very friendly staff and locals (and pub dog and cat). Excellent selection of well kept ales including local Isle of Wight brewed ones. Prices were what I would expect to pay in Surrey, so about right for the location. Would visit again if in the area.
Lovely pub. Beautiful gardens. Friendly landlord and customers. My friend enjoyed his real ale. Going back

Nice atmosphere, great food, lovely views of the beach. On a summers day, sitting on the patio bit, you could think you're somewhere on an exotic foreign holiday. Highly recommend.
Great staff. Very helpful. World class customer service. Well done girls xxx

A real hidden gem. We had a lovely evening meal here over the summer, sitting outside overlooking the sea. The food was lovely, portion sizes were generous and the staff were friendly and really made us feel at home.
A really wonderful place to eat tucked in at the top of the cliff. Lovely views of the sea and the owners have put so much effort in to decorating, making for a very comfortable and unique experience. The food here was really great and well priced for the quality.

Visited on the spur of the moment while staying in Sandown. Unassuming place from the outside, inside down the stairs was a lovely little restaurant. Staff were very friendly, chatty and helped us choose from the menu. Food arrived after a short wait and was fabulous. After eating we stayed for a drink in the bar, upstairs. Happy to recommend to anyone, it's every bit the hidden gem. We'll visit again when back on the island.
Possibly my favourite place to eat and drink in the isle of white. Really suited my group. Great staff, great food and drink and well priced. Has a great aesthetic, can tell it used to be a bank. Only 4 stars as they had a small fly problem when we went. +Dog friendly

Ordered from here whilst on holiday. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. I didn't know each dish came with its own individual rice portion so the woman taking my order checked rather than let me just over order which I appreciated. Would definitely order from here again
Just had a delivery after reading the previous reviews. Was not disappointed. Was delivered in 20 mins. Had a set meal for 2 plus chicken soup and chicken chow mein. It was all fantastic quality. Highly recommend.

We got the Set Menu (B) as it was super value for money, 4 dishes plus prawn crackers for just over £26! Unfortunately only 2/4 dishes were nice - the fried rice and prawns were very good - but the pork in the sweet and sour pork balls was far too thick and difficult to bite into, dry, and tasteless without the sauce; the crispy chilli beef was fairly average, but because of the acidity of the sauce together with the sweet and sour pork, which couldn’t comfortably be eaten without the sauce, it was all a bit overpowering. There was also a distinct lack of beef, though I understand the dish is meant to be with the thinnest slices of beef, so as to make the strips crispy. Service also wasn’t amazing unfortunately. It took a really long time for the food to come out.
Lovely restaurant - very good food and friendly service. Highly recommend.

This place just needs to learn customer service. Food is good but it's only let down by the moody staff. When I visited the restaurant it was empty but I was told to sit in the smallest table in the restaurant while I looked around at all the empty tables. Had to get up to get service from staff. I asked for a few items just be told you need to go to the mainland for that. Good food great price rubbish staff.
The food is fabulous! Seemed to be new staff on when we visited and they experienced some teething problems. That said, senior staff very helpful and kind. Decent priced meal c.£20pp with drinks with starter and main.

Top quality customer service, accompanied by genuinely the best Indian food going! IV never had a vindaloo that has struck such a good balance of heat and spice, whilst retaining the full flavour! Banging onion rice, great naan bread and fantastic onion bhajis. Would recommend 10/10
Great food Great service meal for 2 £41 including 2 large Cobra beers

No thrills just tasty food polite service reasonable price would recommend
Some of the best Indian food that I've ever had. No alcohol is sold here.

Came here in a Saturday night and couldn't fault it! The staff were all really friendly and the right amount of attentive. The garlic bread was the best I've ever had, 10/10 would recommend. Between us we had the vegetarian risotto, the steak, and the Ventor line caught hake; all of which were lovely. All of our desserts were perfect as well! Not the cheapest restaurant you'll find, but the food and service justifies the price.
The food is very good.. we had prawns in cocktail as starter which was mind blowing.. for mains we ordered tortellini stuffed with cheese and spinach and a pork belly.. the tortellini were not equal in consistency but the pork belly was amazing.. definite value for money.. sticky toffee pudding is a definite recommendation if you ever happen to visit this restaurant..

Another good Premier Inn. We have been here for a week and enjoyed our stay. As usual the room was clean, roomy and pleasant. The air-con was really appreciated during the recent hot weather and kept the room comfortable. As there is no restaurant for evening meals (breakfasts are available), we used the Merrie Garden pub, which is across the road, and we found it to be very good, with lots of choice at reasonable prices. The staff at both the pub and hotel were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally placed for exploring the island. The car park is good with plenty of spaces. Plus there is a Morrison's and an Aldi in short walking distances for last minute shopping visits. Definitely recommended.
Stayed in many Premier Inn,s but this is the best so far.(I do understand it is only 2 years old) who ever designed the bedroom made a 1st class job of them. but just a couple of minor things we would say It would be good to have soft close toilet seats and flip waste on bath. Another couple of pillows would be nice. There is no restaurant at this Premier Inn, but you can get breakfast. Lovely stay thank you very much.

Food and service really good. My steak was excels. Nice view of the beach. Well looked after and everything nice and clean. In the evening the more could be done to improve the lighting and make it a bit more atmospheric, but that's a small thing to fault. Wild recomend.
Absolutely delicious meal, fantastic service with a lovely setting and brilliant view. Highly recommend! Edited to add: we loved The Bandstand so much that we returned for a second time during our holiday. We really loved the venue, meals and service and wish it was nearer to us. I’ve included pictures of our meals: ratatouille stuffed peppers, steak, vegan burger, fish and chips, lemon posset, chocolate brownie and pavlova all perfect and very tasty.

This is the second time we have eaten here in a few days. The food is fantastic on both visits. Lovely place sat in the open window overlooking the beach and pier. Very friendly staff. Superb, would recommend over and over again
Lovely little cafe, spotlessly clean. Really really good coffee and hot chocolate. 👌 Restaurant food at cafe prices. Friendly helpful staff. Dog and child friendly too! Will definitely visit again!👍

Service excellent and not rushed. The food is beautifully presented and tastes fantastic. If you appreciate excellent cooking you really must visit Heima. First Class. We will definitely be dining here more often.
Came here and fell through the rotten floor boards into the crusty basement. I saw several people chained to the walls and begging for food and water. After refreshing myself with some food and water, left on a table next to them, I swiftly left. An emotional rollercoaster the whole way up the stairs.

We love coming here. There is a really relaxed vibe and you can easily sit on the beach using the bars sun loungers and parasols and then go up into the bar to get something to eat or drink. Unfortunatly the service is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes it's good and sometimes they are so overrun and you feel sorry for the staff running around in that heat all clearly feeling the pressure. The food is nice but what keeps us coming back is the live music on Sundays. The musicians are hilarious and heckle anybody in view. This place is bursting with potential and I feel the staff need to up their game to cope with the volumes of people who use it in the summer.
Ordered a standard coffee, the cup was tiny. For what I paid, it was a complete let down. My friend had a hot chocolate and it tasted...well not very chocolate(y). Finding it hard to recommend it for hot drinks
